This was a fun bar stool to build.  It’s relatively simple but can be tweaked and modified in a variety of sizes and styles from something simple to something more complex.  This particular bar stool is counter-height at 25 inches tall, but is easily modified to be a taller bar-height stool.  This rustic style bar stool is constructed of douglas fir that has been stained, but I’ll be working on a version shortly that incorporates a hardwood, probably walnut.  I can’t wait to get into the shop and make some more of these!  If you’re interested in placing an order of barstools similar to this, or with some customization to suit your needs, I’ll have them listed in my Etsy store and you can convo me there or contact me directly through my website here.  Sorry for the not-so-great iPhone photo….I had to snap it quick before I delivered this bar stool to somebody in Los Angeles!
